Community rules
Version 2, in force since 2 November 2026
What changed
Adds that accounts, balls and purchases can't be sold or swapped, that refunds and bank reversals can't be used to keep what you bought, how to tell us about an ad or a sponsor's promotion, and that you can reach us through our contact form.
CricMic is for every cricket fan. These rules keep it fair and friendly. They are part of our terms of use, and they apply to everything you write or do on CricMic.
Your handle and your names
- Your handle is 3 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores, and it must be your own.
- Don't pretend to be someone else: a player, a creator, our staff or another fan.
- Don't claim to be official, or to speak for a team, a league, a board or a player.
- The names you give your franchise and your season can't be a real club's or a real league's.
- A word filter refuses some words in handles, names and chat. Don't try to get round it.
Chat and reactions
You can chat with the other owners in your leagues and in live auction rooms, up to ten messages a minute. Versus has four set reactions and no free text. Keep it kind: disagree with an opinion, never attack the person.
What you may not post
India's IT Rules, 2021 list what may not be posted. You may not write, share or name anything that:
- belongs to someone else and that you have no right to share;
- is obscene or sexual, invades someone's privacy, including their body's, insults or harasses anyone for their gender, attacks anyone for their race or where they come from, promotes money laundering or playing for money, or stirs up hatred between groups for their religion or caste;
- harms a child;
- breaks someone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- misleads people about where a message came from, or spreads what you know to be false;
- pretends to be another person;
- threatens India's unity, security or sovereignty, its friendly relations with other countries or public order, or encourages a crime or gets in the way of an investigation, or insults another nation;
- carries a virus or any code meant to harm a computer or a service;
- promotes an online game played for money, or one the law does not allow;
- breaks any law.
Don't share anyone's personal details, such as a phone number, an address or an email address, yours or theirs. Don't spam, and don't sell anything.
Playing fair
- One account each. Don't make more accounts to climb the boards, to play yourself in a duel or Versus, or to come back after a ban.
- No bots or scripts. Play with your own hands. Don't automate moves, bids or calls, and don't tamper with how CricMic talks to its servers.
- Computer players. Some players you see on the boards, and some opponents you meet, may be computer-controlled, for example in Versus when no one else is waiting.
- Nothing to sell or swap. Don't buy, sell, swap or share accounts, balls or Ad-free, and don't offer anything for them, in CricMic or anywhere else.
- Pay honestly. Don't use a refund, or a payment reversed by your bank, to keep what you bought. We take it back, and may pause buying on the account or ban it.
- No exploiting faults. If you find a bug that gives you an advantage, tell us through our contact form and don't use it.
- Results are checked. Most results are worked out on our servers. Where a game measures something on your device, such as the timing of a shot, we check the result is possible, and one that isn't doesn't count.
Reports and blocks
- Report a fan, a chat message, a room or a poll with its Report button. Choose a reason (spam, abuse or hate, pretending to be someone, money in play, or something else) and add a note if it helps. Our staff read every report.
- An ad or a sponsor's promotion that shouldn't be here: tell us through our contact form, and we block it within a day.
- Block a fan from their page, from a chat message, from a duel's result or from a Versus match's result. You stop seeing their league and room messages, you won't meet them in Versus, and neither of you can start a duel rematch. You can unblock them in Me on the website or in Settings in the app.
What we do when a rule is broken
Depending on what happened, we may hide a message, a page or a poll, change a name, remove a result or reset a board, or ban the account. A banned account can still read CricMic, but it can't post or play, and its fan page, pages and polls are hidden from everyone. Deleting a banned account and signing up again with the same email doesn't lift the ban.
We act on what breaks these rules even when nobody reports it.
If you think we got it wrong
Write to our Grievance Officer, Amandeep Singh, at grievance@cricmic.com, saying which account it is and why. We acknowledge it within 24 hours and answer within 15 days, and we lift a ban or bring back what we removed by mistake. Our complaints and grievances page says what else you can do.
