Version 2, in force since 2 November 2026
What changed
Adds that national sides are marked with their country's flag, never a logo, and that sponsors' promotions and the app's ads are their owners', labelled as such.
This page says where the cricket facts on CricMic come from, what is ours, what is yours, and how to ask us to take something down.
The cricket facts
Statistics come from Cricsheet (cricsheet.org), under the Open Data Commons Attribution licence. We credit Cricsheet and its licence on every public stat and game. A few facts, such as the captains of each season and real auction prices, we enter ourselves from public records.
Players' names and figures are used as facts only, to say what happened on the field.
What we never show
- No photos of players, and no pictures made by AI of real players, nor their voices.
- No logos of teams, leagues or boards, and no broadcast footage.
- No claim that CricMic is official. It is not connected with, or endorsed by, any cricket board, league, team or player.
The franchises in the auction are made up and named after cities, and any brand in a game is made up too. National sides are marked with their country's flag, never with a board's or a team's logo. Every other name or mark belongs to its owner.
A sponsor's promotion, labelled Sponsored, and the ads Google shows in the app belong to the sponsor or the advertiser, who answers for them.
What is ours
The games, the code, the design, the words, the drawings and the pictures of CricMic belong to Nexever Private Limited or to those who license them to us. You may use CricMic for your own enjoyment, and share what its share buttons make. You may not copy, sell or reuse any other part of it without our permission.
What is yours
What you write on CricMic is yours: your handle, your names for your franchise and your season, your chat messages, and the names and words of any page or poll you make. You can't upload pictures or videos.
You give us a licence to store, show and use what you write to run CricMic, for free and anywhere it is shown, for as long as it stays in CricMic. It ends when what you wrote leaves CricMic. Deleting your account takes away your chat messages, your names, and your own pages with their polls, but a poll you asked on someone else's page stays with their page. What our staff removed is kept, hidden, for 180 days first, as the law asks. What you write must be your own, or something you have the right to share, and must follow our community rules.
Asking us to take something down
If something on CricMic breaks your copyright or another right of yours, or breaks our rules:
- In CricMic, use the Report button beside it.
- Or write to our Grievance Officer, Amandeep Singh, at grievance@cricmic.com.
Tell us:
- what it is and where it is (a link, the league or room, and roughly when);
- what right it breaks, and the work or mark it copies;
- that you own the right, or act for the person who does;
- your name and how to reach you.
We acknowledge it within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, as our complaints and grievances page says. If you think we removed something of yours by mistake, write to the same address and we will look again.
We ban an account that keeps posting what isn't theirs to share.
