Cricket grid: the daily immaculate grid
The Cricket Grid is a free daily cricket grid puzzle, like the immaculate grid. Fill a 3 by 3 grid with cricketers who fit both their row and their column. A new grid comes at midnight India time, the same for everyone, and rarer picks score more.
How to play
- Each row and column asks for something: a team played for, a career feat such as a Test hundred, or keeping wicket.
- Tap a square and search for a player who fits both its lines.
- You have nine guesses, and a wrong one costs a guess.
- Each player can go in one square only.
- At the end, see each square's most picked and rarest answers.
Scoring
A square scores 10 points, plus up to 10 more the fewer fans picked that player there before you. After a miss, the grid tells you whether that player fitted the row, the column or neither.
Stuck on a square?
Ask for four choices: one player fits both lines and three fit only one. The square then scores half. Grids run from easy on Monday to the hardest on Sunday.
Questions
Is there an immaculate grid for cricket?
Yes. The Cricket Grid is a daily 3 by 3 cricket grid, free to play, with a new one at midnight India time.
How many guesses do I get?
Nine, one for each square. A wrong guess uses one up, so think before you place a player.
Why do rare picks score more?
Each square gives up to 10 extra points the fewer fans picked that player there, so a less obvious answer is worth more.
Can I use a player twice?
No. Each player goes in one square at most.
