Playing
Is it free?
Yes. Every game is free to play. Nobody pays to enter anything, and nothing you can buy changes a score.
Is this betting?
No. Nobody pays to take part and nobody wins money. Points decide ranks, badges and levels, nothing more.
Do I need an account?
No. Play today's puzzles or start an auction straight away. Sign in with your email, Apple or Google when you want to keep your streaks and level on any device and play a season.
When do the puzzles change?
At midnight India time, the same puzzles for everyone.
What is a streak?
Days in a row with a game finished.
Can I play old puzzles?
Brain games keep an archive of every numbered puzzle. Daily puzzles from the last week can be played again as practice (Catch up, /play/catch-up); practice never counts.
Plumb and Energy
What is Energy?
Plumb's 3D games and Versus use Energy. It refills by itself over time, with a free refill every day. You can watch an optional video in the app, or use balls, to refill it at once.
What are balls?
An optional purchase that refills Energy at once, and can play your season's next match early where it's offered. Balls can't be won, traded or cashed out, and never change a score.
Do I need a download for 3D?
No. Plumb runs in your browser, even on a 2 GB phone. The app is a little smoother.
The auction and season
How does a season work?
Thirteen days, one match an evening at your chosen time: nine league days, then the playoffs. Send a team sheet before each match and watch the replay after.
Can I play with friends?
Yes: live auction rooms with a join code, a friends' league, Versus with a code, and duels.
The app
Is there an app?
Yes, for iPhone and Android. Or add CricMic to your home screen from your browser: it opens full screen, like an app.
What does Ad-free do?
It removes the full-screen ads between games and sponsors' cards, for good. Sign in and it stays with your account on any device. Bought from Apple or Google Play without signing in? Tap Restore purchases in the app's Settings, where it shows, or contact us.
Will I lose my progress if I change phones?
Not if you sign in. A guest's progress lives on one device.
How do refunds and cancellations work?
Balls and Ad-free are optional. Apple sells them in the iPhone app, and Google Play in the Android app, unless the app shows that you pay through Stripe, a payment company. Whenever you pay through Stripe, in the app or on the website, we sell them. For a refund of what Apple or Google Play sold, ask the store: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play in your order history. For what we sold, contact us within 7 days of buying, and we refund Ad-free, or a pack of balls you haven't used any of. In the UK and the EU you have 14 days, used or not. Ad-free is bought once, so there is nothing to cancel.
Safety and data
Where do the stats come from?
From Cricsheet's open records of past matches, counted by code. The puzzles never make a number up.
How old must I be?
13 or older. Under-18 accounts keep only a handle and a favourite team, and see no ads or store.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings, Delete account. On the web: /account/delete.
How do I report someone?
Every message and fan page has Report and Block. Staff review reports.
