Scorecard scramble: restore the batting order

Scorecard Scramble is a free cricket puzzle. A real batting card from a notable match has been shuffled, and you put the batters back in the order they batted, using their runs, balls and how they were out. Puzzles are numbered, with an archive.

How to play

  1. Read the innings: the teams, the ground, the date and the total.
  2. Tap two batters to swap them, or move one up or down.
  3. Lock your order when you are happy; you get one try.
  4. See the real batting order, with each place marked right or wrong.

Scoring

You score for every pair of batters in the right order, scaled to 100. A score of 80 or more counts as solved.

Clues on the card

Each row keeps its runs, balls and how out, but the numbers on the rows follow the shuffle, so they say nothing about the real order. The shuffle is never the true order, and each innings has at least seven batters who faced a ball.
