Captain's Cap: the cricket captains quiz
Captain's Cap is a free cricket captains quiz. Each puzzle names a team and a year, a national side or a T20 franchise, and asks who captained them most that year. You have two guesses. Puzzles are numbered, with an archive, and none repeats.
How to play
- Read the team and the year.
- Search for the captain and make a guess.
- Wrong? You get one more guess.
- See who led the side most that year.
Scoring
100 for the first guess, 60 for the second, and none if both miss. Ask for four choices and your answer scores half.
The questions
Our team enters the captaincies, and each is asked once. Franchise sides show by their city alone. When every captaincy has had its puzzle, new ones come as more are added.
Questions
What is the captains quiz?
You name who captained a team most in a given year, a national side or a T20 franchise, in two guesses.
Why does a franchise show only a city?
Franchise sides show by their city, never by a club's name.
Can I play past puzzles?
Yes. Puzzles are numbered, and the archive keeps every one.
